There are over 600 scholarships available through the OSAC Scholarship Application — and many students qualify for more than one!
Tips for using the catalog:
- Narrow your search: Try different word variations. For example, “nurse” and “nursing” will give you different results.
- Write down the fund number: Each scholarship has a number. The newest funds have the largest fund numbers. You can use it to quickly find and add scholarships in your OSAC Student Portal account.
- Do your research: Use the catalog to find scholarships that match your background, interests, or goals.
- Preference vs Required: When applying for scholarships, you might see two types of criteria:
- Preferred: These are additional factors used in cases where many students apply and all meet the required criteria, then reviewers may use preferences to help determine final awards.
- Required: These are must haves. If you don't meet these items, then you are not eligible for the scholarship.
- Note: Even if you don’t meet the listed preferences, you should still apply as long as you meet the requirements.
